“Euphorbia canariensis” & other stunning cacti from the Canary islands: my favourite one is  the cute “sock cactus”(I’ve “baptized” it with this name!) whose flowers are tiny and delicate, olé!… 🙂

some ephemeral wonders grow off the lava, cuddled by the earthly fire that offers them flaming and unique beauty each cactus has at least one flower and among its spines there’s always a hidden heart… ❤

  1. I-aş privi la nesfârşit…

  2. Beautiful tour through your cactus pictures, all different and beautiful in their own way. My little cactus flowers only once a year and then for only one day. Regards, Emu aka Ian

  3. What a surprisingly pleasant blog you have here, Mélanie. I’ll come back as often as I can; this feels like a nice break from life’s little aggravations. By the way, thanks for stopping by at Colltales. All the best.

  4. Having grown up on the edge of the Mojave Desert in southern California, I do know a bit about cacti. When the weather is the hottest and few are around, they reward them with their flowers which are spectacular!

  5. Hi Melanie, thanks for sending me this link but 😦 the videos are empty on my screen, problem with java script. I shall try and open tomorrow on my other computer. 🙂

  6. Cacti — interesting to look at/ponder. Don’t invite touching.

  7. The sock cactus is fun!

  8. Cactuses are so interesting. They are spiky yet they usually have lovely flowers. I sent you some photos of my backyard. c u soon, I hope.

    • exactly and absolutely… 🙂 I did receive your nice pix, I’ve just replied and thanx a bunch of lavender from my frontyard… ❤ I also hope to c u asap… 🙂

  9. Wow! That is like Mexico. Have not been there before.

    • 🙂 ohayo gozaimassu(here!) dear friends! Canary islands are really amazing and closer to France than Mexico… 🙂 Have a nice Sunday and sunny hugs… ❤

  11. Your photos really show there can be beauty in cactus. Nice post.

  12. An interesting place. Lovely photos.

  13. Cool pics Melanie… And the words are touching, as always. Best wishes and Happy Sunday ahead to you, Aquileana 🙂

  14. Superbe fotografii!

  17. Qui s’y frotte, s’y pique… Ils sont magnifiques, j’adore. Bonne soirée, Mélanie!

  18. Una meraviglia questo giardino! Pungente e succoso…

  19. These are amazing photos, Melanie.

  20. love all of them!

  21. Deși are țepi cactusul are farmecul lui.

  22. Les roses ont des épines…
    Les cactus des piquants…
    Moi, je porte la barbe,
    Et ce depuis longtemps…
    Quel rapport, dira-t-on?
    Aucun…

thanx and have a spicy day! 🙂
