cheerful thoughts along the pathway of the fountain… 🙂

motto:’Happiness is a single bouquet: vague, soft, touching, sweet… it’s a whole forest of friends who get together in front of the green fountains of the mild sun and of the blazing woods…'(Paul Éluard)

we are not meant to live alone and we do need each other – love and friendship are as vital as oxygen… our relationships with them are divided into hostile or affectionate feelings, and if we want to live well, we must remove the second ones by setting around us an atmosphere of cordiality, peace and affection… BUT sometimes it is difficult or impossible to get there, despite our best intentions and we generate antipathy, envy, resentment… even our kindness, generosity or helpfulness may be interpreted as ‘hypocrite’, so what to do?… stay patient and tolerant, because we can’t seem nice to everyone and be liked by everybody… 🙂 we must learn to detect, to guess, to recognize, to glimpse, to choose the feelings of others, without allowing ourselves to be ‘blinded’ by prejudices that would urge us to unfairly exclude from our circle interesting people who do deserve our esteem… our life is like scales with several plates and each one is made up of our own universe: love, family, friends, work, entertainment, etc…

our goal and target: to keep the balance between these ‘plateaux’, to prevent and to avoid an eventual imbalance that may disrupt us… happiness is rather an attitude of mind and we should look for it inside our hearts, not elsewhere… being optimistic doesn’t chase away failures and mistakes, but it helps us ‘to weigh” and ‘to judge’ them fairly… any negative past turns into a lesson and not an obstacle to live better in the very present… if we feel happy today, we could also be happy tomorrow… in fact, a better life is not really ‘rocket science’ and sometimes we simply need to be hopeful and positive, to perceive the world differently… our life does have a ‘price’ that doesn’t depend entirely on us, happiness means to reject pessimism and to observe events or circumstances from a ‘critical’ viewpoint and not a ‘catastrophic’ one… let’s strive to feel more cheerful than yesterday, let’s always keep a bit of humor, let’s smile… if we make a record of our days, we’ll certainly find at least an hour of relaxation, fun and joy… 🙂

  1. Beautiful advice to live by. 🙂

  2. Profound words Melanie. Your pictures always intrigue me in their contents. Diversity and interesting that leaves the mind contented. Well that’s the only way I can express it. Emu

  4. Wow – ‘cheerful thoughts along the pathway of the fountain’ even the title of this piece is full of optimism and hope! I can connect to what you’ve said here, the part of coming of as hypocrites or in some cases flatterers too (i’ve been there, too) when all we are trying to do is be our-self and be a pillar of support for the person we genuinely appreciate. Hope and patience is all that counts – and I feel in sincere lack of both at times… but reading this definitely made me hopeful, the fact that someone understands means a lot, so thank you for sharing this thought and keeping the dying flame burning! I’m glad you found my blog so now I am directed to this wonderful place now! ❤
Hope you are doing well, have a lovely weekend! 🙂

    • hi and welcome to my playground! thanx for your elaborated and kind comment! yep, you’re right: WWW and the real life are full of ‘bizarre’ creatures – flatterers & hypocrites… 😉 my very best, tons of inspiration and cheers! Prakāśa aura pyāra! 🙂

  5. Rimango sempre affascinato dalle immagini che pubblichi e dalle parole che scrivi. Felice venerd’ sera.

  6. Ce frumos spus Melanie! Vorbele tale au ajuns la inima mea! 🙂

  7. Vad ca ai un pingbck de la 9 : “1000 d e motive pentru “… Merita sa -ti arunci o privire peste acele motive.
