more BB = beautiful Bruges…:-)

Brug means “bridge” in Flemish… it’s the city of canals and bridges, of lovers and swans… nostalgic, romantic, melancholic city where dreams offer us keywords that open our hearts… “with an endless extra-soul like any cities crossed by canals…”(Marcel Proust) – P.S. Bruges has reminded me of another BB = beautiful Bergen, Norway: https://myvirtualplayground.wordpress.com/2014/06/02/weekend-in-bergen-gateway-to-the-norwegian-fjords/

  1. Beautiful pics Melanie, great architecture and so romantic, as with Francis.R, it also bears similarity to parts of Chile. Wishing you a beautiful Christmas Melanie. Regards, Ian

  2. Some beautiful photography, magnificent European architecture! All very interesting, Melanie, thank you for sharing… 🙂

  4. Stunning Mélanie! I’ve never posted any of the photos I took there as one blog is just about France the other is basically poetry… C’est la vie! 😉

    • wow, small world, Micheline! 🙂

  6. Some beautiful architecture, Mélanie. Love the canal pics too. My daughter was in Bruges last summer, and she loved it. 🙂

  7. It does look beautiful, and full of history too. Great slideshow.

  10. Need to incorporate bing translator although my dustant French helped me understand a little. The photographs are breathtaking. In all these photographs I find much commonality. I wish I could see them in person. And brudges? Don’t get me started on them. I LOVE BRIDGES! Yisraela

  11. Une très belle ville Bruges. Merci! Brian

  12. Thanks for the refreshing journey — and I didn’t have to fight the crowds!

  15. It looks like a tranquil city, made me remember the time I went to Arica, Chile, although an important city, there weren’t so many drivers or crowds in the streets, in Peru everybody is running in the populated Indian cities. There is a bell in a wooden structure… Is it a sculpture? Saludos Mélanie 🙂

    • it’s a pleasant city and its dowtown was really crowded with European tourists: mostly French and British – proximité “oblige”… 🙂 you did guess right, FR: it’s a sculpture… gracias y saludos back… 🙂
