SSS = Sunday sunny stroll…:-)

sunny stroll of about 10 kms around my quaint village… I greeted both the old oak tree and the brave gorgeous flowers… then I stopped by “my” faithful olive trees, still there for ages, equal to themselves… useful, wholesome for our well-being, gnarled silhouette, noble beauty – symbol(s) of peace, wisdom, generosity, longevity… 🙂

The olive tree – Gabriele D’Annunzio

The tree in the air is clear and lightweight; and why does its beauty touch our heart so deeply? You don’t know, we don’t know, the olive tree doesn’t know. Thin leaves, slim twigs, hollow stems, twisted roots, tiny fruits. And here’s a sublime god shining inside its paleness…

  1. I enjoyed that stroll, those olive trees are fantastic, they must be well over fifty years old, if not more by the look of their beautiful gnarled trunks. Regards, Emu

  2. I know exactly how you felt, Melanie, when you began your stroll. Today was the first sunny day in over a week. It was warm and I, too, took a stroll through the neighborhood. Did not want to waste the opportunity. 🙂

  3. Thanks for the stroll. I love the feel of it.

  7. Ah, nothing quite like a stroll in the sun ~ and flowers to meet along the way. Better than the grey skies I’m looking at today 🙂

  8. Sensuales sueños son su solar suavidad. Flowers following fantasy. Mille merci Mélanie 🙂

      pitoreasca regiune Languedoc-Roussillon, vecina noastra va face parte din Midi-Pyrénées anu’-viitor… Aniane e cam la 180kms de Toulouse… 🙂
