mes fleurs de fin-janvier – my late January flowers…

the 1st month of the year is getting ready to shove off tonight – with exotic promises for February… but reading poems in the winter is as pleasant as a spring walk… 🙂

🙂 my free & quick translation: End of January … – Louis Fréchette(Québec poet)

The storm has faded out. The lively and sheer ether has cast a light silver mat over the river, where the fiery skater with sturdy hocks and iron shoes glides along bright reflections. The walking lady – away from her shuddering boudoir, boldly faces the air bites under her bearskins, listening to the sound of the gold bells of her fast horse that passes before our dazzled eyes like a flash of lighting. And then again, during the ideal cold nights, whenever in the sky, thousands of northern lights flounder just like strange birds. New idol temples in the amber “salons” where merry square dancers unwind their mesh to the chords of the orchestra, under the fire of chandeliers…

  1. Simplement superbes, bises Mélanie

  2. They looked more like Early February Flowers to me. 🙂 Perhaps the date is stamped on the underside of a leaf?

  3. Stunning Mélanie! I’ve posted it on LinkedIn. Today is so grey and wet here they cheered me. A friend was working in the vineyards yesterday and said he saw his first almond blossom of the season… 😉

  4. I love the poems where the elements are immortals like horses or the rain, distilled beauty as your flowers 🙂

  5. A beautiful combination. Yisraela

  6. So very beautiful, your flowers and words! 🙂

  7. Superbes fleurs et excellent texte. Bonne soirée! Bisous.

  10. Beautiful!

  11. Magnifique texte et photos, Mélanie! Bonne et douce soirée à toi! 🙂 ❤
