Freyja’s Icelandic sunset…:-)

N.B. Iceland is number 2 among world’s happiest countries: 🙂

a soft mirage of hot and cold is hiding into the dusk, over a landscape marked out by imaginary lighthouses, cuddled by the quiet waves of the Arctic ocean… Freyja, the goddess of love and beauty, lives within an underwater castle, built upon tears of seafoam… she has the power to make it appear above the flat surface, to lure sailors and to drag them down into the afterlife… but they’ve always been saved by the blue of the Icelandic sky – color of endless freedom, of clear geysers and of crater lakes… before the night tides sweep up our memories, let’s breathe the light of life that takes us beyond the earthly horizon… 🙂

  8. Lovely peaceful scenes. It must be wonderful to know that your country is considered one of the happiest in the whole world. 😀

  9. Your wonderful words and beautiful photographs brought me there, to the quiet waves of the Arctic Ocean. Lovely!

  10. Tu es vraiment poétique, Mélanie! Just beautiful images (both through the pictures and the words!)

    • thanx a bunch of rosemary from my front yard, Dale! ❤ let's say I'm more literary than poétique… 😉 in fact, everything inspires me: images, songs, movies, words, etc… if you have some spare time to take a look thru my archives, you'll find my pix followed by "literature" or prose poétique… 🙂
