Cales Coves & Cala BiniMela-Pregonda…:-)

“Coves” means “caves” in Catalan and even the Romans lived in these places. A sinuous sea inlet and 2 impressive creeks – secluded, quiet, small, oriented northeast and northwest. This cove is at the bottom of a ravine, surrounded by 2 cliffs – a fantastic refuge for boats along the southern coast of Menorca. As its beach is rocky, the presence of tourists is quite low, the access to it is a bit difficult – you have to walk about 1.5km, but it’s worth it. The water is clean and clear, perfect for swimming. Shades of blue and green landscape offer a spectacular view… Last but not least: in the 60s, this spot used to be a haven for naturists and hippies, but during my visit, there was only 1 couple… 🙂 Unfortunately, the caves are closed, so that nobody settles in. Here are these 2 magic and secret Minorcan heavens, so: vamos a las 2 playas! 🙂

Cala Pregonda is a small beach situated 30′-walk from Cala de BiniMela … 🙂 it’s probably one of the most beautiful and most charming coves of Menorca, its sand is thicker than elsewhere, its reddish and white rocks emerge from the crystal-clear water: it’s like being on another planet! 🙂

Have a magic weekend, guys! 🙂
