L’Été… – Théodore de Banville

Il brille, le sauvage Été,
La poitrine pleine de roses.
Il brûle tout, hommes et choses,
Dans sa placide cruauté.
Il met le désir effronté
Sur les jeunes lèvres décloses;
Il brille, le sauvage Été,
La poitrine pleine de roses.
Roi superbe, il plane irrité
Dans des splendeurs d’apothéoses
Sur les horizons grandioses;
Fauve dans la blanche clarté,
Il brille, le sauvage Été.

Love is in the air… by John Paul Young

As the day is nearly done, I don’t know if you’re an illusion, I don’t know if I see it true… But you’re ‘something’ that I must believe in, and you’re there whenever I reach out for you – your LOVE is in the air… in every sight, in every sound, and I don’t know if I’m being foolish, I don’t know if I’m being wise – yet, it’s ‘something’ that I must believe in, and it’s always there, each time I look into your eyes…

  1. I just listened to “Love is in the air”, it is a memorable song.

  2. Stunning pictures… I shall have the song playing on loop-repeat all day now – I love it!

  3. Superbes gorges!

  4. The first line of your poem reminded me of this song (instrumental & vocal versions):

  5. Great words of John Paul Young, think he had a romantic heart. Beautiful to read words written like that, brings a warmth to the Heart.

  6. Beautiful! ❤

  7. a beautiful poem and your images!

  8. Très sympas les photos, celle de l’arbre qui pousse en se collant au rocher et celle du dôme avec les bouches, je les adorent.

  9. Frumoase imagini. Tare frumoase! 😀 De versuri, nu mai spun.

  10. That’s beautiful (so are the photos).

  11. Pe la noi e atat de cald ca nici dragostea nu mai pluteste in aer, de teama sa nu-si arda aripile. 🙂
