“le Lis(Lys)” is a 9km-mountain stream, flowing from the Pyrénées to Bagnères-de-Luchon, Haute-Garonne county…

motto:”I’m haunted by waters… Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it.”(Norman Maclean – A River Runs Through It)

Superbagnères – “Balcony of the Pyrenees”(1440m-2260m) is a small ski resort whose nickname is due to its geographical location: situated on a plateau at 1800m, it offers panoramic views over Luchon valley and some of the Pyrenean peaks like ‘Pico Aneto’ glacier(3404 m). The 1st building has been “the Grand Hotel”, it opened in 1922, and it’s still impressive nowadays… 🙂

P.S. I highly recommend the wonderful movie, directed by Robert Redford, with Brad Pitt & Craig Sheffer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Z7yeXtBQMU

  7. Superb!

  8. Looked for your picture in the mountains
    On those hills so steep
Sought you down in the valley
Perhaps you were with the sheep

    Into the Grand Hotel
    For a little peep
    Came to a final conclusion
    That you were still asleep

  9. Very beautiful pictures. I like the one of the sheep and the view of the complex from the distance.

  10. les paysages sont fantastiques! belle journée!
