back from Venezia, Italia – my b’day gift…:-)

“I will never forget experiencing Venice for the first time. It feels like you are transported to another time – the art, music, food and pure romance in the air is like no other place…”(Elizabeth Berkley)

I love Venice too. The pictures are gorgeous. I haven’t been in decades, would love to go back. 🙂
a place of romance!
Happy b’day and grazie for the post! Peace!
molto grazie e con piacere, cara Yvette! 🙂
💜🎂🎂🎂🎂
“Pónte del Diavolo” makes me think there are marvelous things, as in Devil’s garden in Utah, or Devil’s Rock in La Paz, Bolivia. I would love to have more time these days, but when I see you, time slow downs in seeing the landscapes, and strangely Venezia looks empty, as I imagined the city a time far ago.
I visited the national parks of Utah several years ago, and I do recall Devil’s rock garden… January is the best month to visit Venezia, highly recommended, as it’s “empty” = less tourists than between February and November! 🙂
Gracias Mélanita! ^_^
Ce fut un magnifique cadeau, hein, Mélanie! Tes photos sont superbes! ❤ 🙂
Incredibly beautiful!
Love the photos, particularly the one in the dark. Very dramatic. Brought back many memories. It was a challenge in a wheel chair though. Who knew all those pretty arched bridges every few blocks were actually stairs!!! Still an awesome experience. Thanks for the photos that brought it all back.
glad you’ve made it, Eileen, I can imagine it was quite a challenge to visit it in a wheel chair…
I adore Venice though my Italian heart belongs to Rome because I lived there. Venice is for lovers, but then isn’t everywhere if you are with the right lover! 🙂
I’ve never been to Rome, but both Italy and Greece are on our “retirement list”, since they’re in Europe… yep, you’re right about places for lovers! 😉
Ms. Berkley is so very right. There is really no place like it on earth. I hope that you’re well and enjoying 2016, Mélanie.
Grazie e un formidabile 2016 anche a te! 🙂
🙂 multumesc, Dr Ninette! ❤
I remember Rick’s eyes brimmed full as he shared the emotions he had when seeing Venice.
Bon compleanno!
molto grazie e abbracci dal mio cuore, Mrs P… ❤
❤ ❤ ❤
Thanks for sharing these. Such beautiful architecture, and you captured it so well. I love the night shot with the reflection in the water. It has a warm feel to it.
you’re welcome, Sir! oh, glad you’ve liked that photo: the rented apartment is just behind the Ponte de l’Arsenal o del Paradiso, 10′-walk from San Marco… 🙂
Who could not love this city? I hope I get the opportunity to visit one day.
Venezia is one of the most expensive cities in Europe, so lemme know and keep me posted, prego-please, as I could provide you useful info(s) and the address of a reasonable price accomodation, just 10′-walk from Piazza San Marco… 🙂
A wonderful birthday gift. 🙂
Wow… so nice!!! Mazal Tov!!! You look at least 10 years younger!!! 🙂
todah, generous Mr Dragon! 🙂
Lucky you! the best birthday gifts are memorable trips 🙂 It’s my favourite city in Italy, beautiful and varied – no cars, whoopee! – and this time of the year it is indeed chilly but should be so much more pleasant in the absence of the throngs of usual tourists…
