wanderlust beyond online images…:-)

motto:”When love and skill work together, expect masterpieces.”(Mo Siegel)

Meet Horiaki, Japanese artist & his water-painting art: he paints ‘virtual’ architecture found online… he can’t travel, but rather than just look at the pictures, this up-and-coming artist prefers to paint them. With a focus on architecture and a keen eye for details, he creates intricate studies of landmarks and buildings from cities all over the globe. Each piece is delicately composed of sketch-like lines and a classic combination of subtle pastel tones and bright pops of color. His workart is entirely based upon net images – except those of Japan, with places he’s already visited like Kyoto. Eventually, Horiaki does hope to travel around the world and sketch his paintings on the very spot. He’d love to visit Paris, France and Venice, Italy – his favourite European cities… 🙂
