sea of “baby-blue eyes”…:-)

hummin’ with Elton John:”Blue eyes… Baby’s got blue eyes like a deep blue sea on a blue day…” 🙂

as I’ve been to Japan 5 times, my approach to this country is very much influenced by Japanese traditions and culture, based upon: simplicity, irregularity, rhythms and balance – all drawn by nature… flowers are often overlain with symbolism – just like Japanese poetry, each of them tells a story of human experience through images… during the 5 years spent in Houston, I used to visit the lovely blue-bonnet fields in Texas, and these millions of tiny nemophila blooms of Hitachi park(Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan) have reminded me the pure beauty of the blue flowers – delicate fairies, aptly nicknamed “baby blue eyes”… 🙂

  1. C’est tout simplement fantastique! J’ai dû essayer les némophiles il y a très longtemps, mais bien sûr j’étais loin d’un tel résultat. Ces images sont magiques! Bonne soirée, Mo

  2. The glory of these fields of blue flowers is extraordinary, Melanie. Thanks so much for sharing it with us.

  3. Exquisite, Melanie. This must have been a real treat to witness. Thanks for posting.
