5h-hike @ Parque Natural de Somiedo…

The park is located in the central area of the Cantabrian Mountains – Principality of Asturias, northern Spain; UNESCO designated it as a Biosphere Reserve in 2000.

“I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery – air, mountains, trees, people. I thought, ‘This is what it is to be happy.'”(Sylvia Plath)

Have a sunny, optimistic and safe weekend, pals!

“Cudillero – un paraiso para recordar…”

“a paradise to remember” or “the endless summer” – as the proud locals call it…🙂 we stayed @ Hotel-Restaurante “El Pescador” that I highly recommend: https://www.hotelrestauranteelpescador.com/

Cudillero or Cuideiru(in Asturian) is reckoned as one of the most beautiful villages in northern Spain, often compared to those of the Italian Amalfi coast or to the French Saint-Tropez; a legend says that it was founded by the Vikings, and in addition to Castillian, some locals still speak an Asturian dialect called “Pixueto”.
