Bonjour! Hi! Hola from Mallorca island!

I do hope you’ve been all fine and healthy; after a very busy and lovely September, spent with our French-American beloved relatives, we are @ Mallorca Balearic island, just 55′-flight from Toulouse; kinda gorgeous “Indian summer”, allowing us to visit it and to hike like we did @ Menorca island a few years back; yep, we’ve loved Spain and its islands for decades…

Cap de Formentor and its lighthouse @ the eastern end of Majorca’s Formentor peninsula, called by the Majorcans “the cape of the meeting point of the winds” – and it’s been a very windy day!

“One moment I gaz’d from the hill’s gentle slope,
all hush’d was the billows’ commotion,
and tho’t that the lighthouse look’d lovely as Hope,
that star of life’s tremulous ocean.”(Thomas Moore – “The Lighthouse”)

Have a sunny, optimistic, and pleasant weekend, folks – wherever your life’s journey takes you!

  1. Ah, Melanie, I am so envious. What gorgeous scenery – and so relaxing!

  2. 🙂 Hola amiga, I love how this trip to Mallorca Island brought me there too. A perfect spot for a bit of freshness. Wishing you well Mélanie, and have a wonderful autumn ahead.

    • Gracias, amigo! 🙂 in fact, we’d planned to return to La Palma Canary island – our favourite one among the 8 Canary islands we’ve visited, but… we had to cancel our trip because of the eruption of Cumbre Vieja volcano!!! salud, una buena semana y océanos de inspiración!

      • That’s right – I remember thinking about the visitors who were enjoying the islands and then to have the volcano erupt. I’m glad you were not there for all the chaos, and that you can find another great holiday location 🙂 I like your saying “salud, una buena semana y océanos de inspiración!” 🙂 Take care, young man!

  3. I would love it there Melanie, thank you for sharing. Leslie xoxo
