Can Picafort – Mallorca island

This is a small and pleasant resort located in the Alcúdia Bay, about 60km away from Palma de Mallorca; we chose it as our “port of registry”, because it’s also an excellent starting point to discover other interesting places, such as Alcúdia or Pollença, and Serra de Tramuntana mountain range with its rugged landscapes where we went hiking twice.

Joan Bennassar’s sculptures all along the beach look like “sentinels of the sea”; I highly recommend Can Picafort to those who plan to visit Mallorca island between May and October when the weather is really fine; if you are in Barcelona or Valencia, the Balearic islands are kinda “next door”. Last but not least: covid rules are strictly observed everywhere: facial mask is mandatory in all public places, as well as the physical distance.

such a pleasant emotion to feel that dazzling sunshine on my shoulders, while my soul delights in October’s unique light; this month is my favourite “color” with its magical shades of ephemeral joy…🍂🍁💓
